Sports Journalists
I agree with many of the points that have been brought up about sports journalists. I think that journalists have a job that is to bring to the media the things that happen behind the scenes in the sporting world. They thrive on making a story out of nothing and get paid for it. They take what they want to from a situation and make it into something in order to get fans reactions. Us as fans have the choice to either buy into what is being said or ignore some of the nonsense that comes along with sports. I think that often times sports journalists pay way too much attention to the things that don't matter instead of writing about the things that can show the true character of an athlete. It is so easy for the media to write about the times when an athlete is in the wrong because it is easy to criticize. How often does the media write about the positives of an athlete? Most of the time it isn't until they do something great like make a good play or step up in a big situation that they become noticed.

The question becomes why don't we hear more about the positive things many athletes do? And why do we hear non-stop about certain athletes good deeds i.e. Tim Tebow?
