To me a lot of the journalist don't really have any idea what they are saying. the media has to entertain the audience so they can get people to buy their products. but if you are not a athlete then you would have no idea what is going on if you didn't have the media, so i do think that we should hold the media and the journalist to higher expectations to what they put in the paper and on TV.

    I agree that sports journalists first job is to sell papers or their product. They are pretty much our only contact between the athletes and us. Without them we really wouldn't know what is going on with these athletes so I think some do try to make stories when their really isn't one to try and get more people interested in there product. Every year there are rumors that are started that are not necessarily true and it seems like it usually is a journalist trying to just make a name for himself.
