T.O.

Terrell Owens has always been in the media. He has changed how an athlete is perceived in the media. During Owens career he has played for the 49ers, Eagles, Cowboys, and now the Bills. In each instance he has created an scene commenting on the quarterback that he was playing with at the time. Yes Owens is self centered and generally concerned with his stat line but unlike other NF: players he keeps out of trouble off the field, he's never been suspended for drunk driving, had rape allegations brought against him, or had his name show up for using steroids. I'm not defending Owens because I really think he has ruined some good chances to be successful and win a Superbowl particularly in Philadelphia and Dallas but I think he's turn another page in his career. What took place last Sunday after the Bills lost to the Saints was terrible on the side the media. They were literally baiting him to say something to create controversy inside the Bills locker room. Media and journalists sometimes need to look for the positive in sports instead of emphasizing negative to get their news stories.

  1. Its interesting to me that you say you dislike Tim Tebow because of the media coverage he recieves and i tend to feel the same way about the players i dislike, for the most part. I can't stand Tony Romo because when he is playing the Sports broadcasters never stop talking about how great he is even when he plays bad. It seems like media coverage really affects the way fans feel about certain individuals but really i dont think it matters because im pretty sure Tony Romo with his millions of dollars and choice of celebrity women really cares if i like him or not.
