I think that sports journalists most definitely pay a huge role in the lives of sports athletes. They can be an athlete's downfall or their uphill. Even though all sports journalists are just people with opinions, alot of different people read their opinions around the world and could at times influence them of ways of thinking. Also, I know alot of athletes don't even play into the idea of what sports journalists are writing about them and I think that is a good method also.
