When talking about if men get tested as much as women, i say yes they do. Think how many steroid tests are given out in professional baseball each year. In todays society, if you hit any homeruns, you are considered suspicious for using steroids. And these tests go for all sports, not just baseball. And this is just one of the numerous tests that male athletes take on a monthly and sometimes weekly basis.

That may be true, but besides baseball (and baseball is justified because of all the positive test results that have come out) how often do you see dominating athletes in sports such as the NFL and NBA questioned about the possibility of using performance enhancers? For example, look at LeBron James. James repeatedly makes opponents look athletically inferior to him when he is competing...it often honestly looks like a man competing against boys. The man is listed at 6-8, 250 lbs (although he's probably closer to 270+) and he moves around with the athleticism of a much smaller man. Now, I'm not accusing LeBron of using steroids or anything — in fact he's probably my favorite athlete in the present.
ReplyDeleteI know baseball gets tested a lot because like jordan said of all the positive testing. As for football and basketball you never here really people being accused of taking steroids. Like he was saying about LeBron why hasnt he ever been looked at for taking steriods i mean the man is a freak. Great basketball player and love him but as jordan pointed out he does some pretty incredible things for his size. I think it has to do with the sport that you are in. Like baseball there are always guys getting caught with steroids so they have to test a lot and you always are hearing about it. That goes for track as well. Thats why it might have been such a big deal. Track has been a known sport for using enhancement drugs to get better. So if she was in a different sport like maybe basketball and she was destroying everybody in that there would have never been this gender question. It would just be that she is better and it was hard work that made her that good not drugs or a pair of testes.
