I see the role of sports analysts as a person who goes into depth on what that team did during that specific game and why they did it. Any viewer can watch ESPN and learn the specifics about the sport, instead of just watching because it looks exciting. Analysts have the right to say who they think is good or bad because that's part of their job on analyzing each team during that specific season.

What is tricky about this idea is that if you dont watch any of the games and only watch espn then you can't even form your own opionon. All you have is the medias. In this way the medias opinion is even stronger and more prevelent over a person only watching the espn reels becasue that is there only source and they are forced to beleive what they see and hear from that source. One could say that it is a views responsibility to watch the games and then see how it is reported to be critical on that anylisisi. Much like we do with on another in class or between freindships.
