on the topic about if a male would be treated the same way? i don't think a male will ever be tested about their gender, and this is because male sports are at the top. Competing at a male level and succeed is very hard to do, you cant dominate a male sport like a male can dominate a women's sport.

  1. I agree that male athletes would not be treated the same way as female athletes when it comes to gender testing. First of all I don't think a man would be tested for his gender if he won a particular race. They would test for the use of performance enhancing drugs. But if a man was tested and found that he has female parts as well no one would think he was trying to cheat or question his times because people would personally think that he would be at a disadvantage with the female body parts.

  2. Kim brings up a good point, there is probably a good chance most people would think a male athlete would be disadvantage by having more estrogen in their system. The question then becomes are male athletes really much more dominant in women, or has this ideology just become so ingrained in our culture?
