There are rumors that say that Semenya was born a hermaphrodite which is having both male and female reproductive organs, and that she was cleared by testing done by Athletics South Africa twice. So what does this mean if true? So should she be able to compete with the men or the women?
I agree with Jake in this case. It is unfortunate, but if she looked more feminine there is a chance that people wouldn't have spread the rumors so easily. However, I'm sure her opponents would still have brought it up because people tend to find (or make up) things about people who are better than them at certain tasks.
ReplyDeleteI believe she should now compete with men becuase there would be an unfair advantage to the other women who are running. Becuase Semenya is so dominant in the races with other women I believe she should start training and working hard to run with the men. I am not sure I would be able to come back into the sport after all this public humiliation but if she does choose to compete it shouldn't be with women.
