I think that the majority of people in the united states enjoy sports more than politics because politics are not very entertaining. people in the united states can relate to sports a lot more than politics and i say this because people like to be entertained.

  1. I think that saying "politics are not very entertaining" is kind of a somewhat ignorant statement just because its a personal opinion. I'm not saying that I enjoy watching politics over a football or baseball game, but to say that all people find them anything but entertaining is extremely false. I know many people that enjoy and understand politics, most of them older, so it is hard to see that some may believe them to be entertaining.

  2. I agree with what Lindsey said that saying politics are not very entertaining is somewhat wrong because politics appeal to the older crowd more because alot of political issues have more to do with them. Such as retirement plans, and social secruity, etc. These programs don't involve children because they aren't old enough yet. So thats why politics in my opinion are more important to older people and sports are more important to younger people

  3. I can agree with lindsey as well, but just becaus esomeone has an interest in politcs does not mean they they are "entertained" I thin his agument is that sports have that "entertainment factor" that differs them from politcs. You could compare a sporting event to a broadway show etc. but it doenst really compare to politics which lack and entertainment value at all. Politics are not meant to entertain rather educate and help us learn about our country and it's policies. So I too could be interested in politics and enjoy it very much but that doesnt mean that it "entertains" me ratehr that I just enjoy it. I may enjoy it more than sports, but my entertainment then is goiung to be in other entertainment venues.
